The Garfield County Sheriff's Office Investigations Division
is currently comprised of three Detectives and a
Detective Sergeant, with a the combined skill of over 45
years of law enforcement experience.
The Investigations Division is both a reactive and a
proactive unit covering all aspects of criminal
investigation.
The Detectives usually are involved with felony level cases
which may include: Burglary, theft, sexual assault, arson,
assaults, homicide and death investigations, financial
crime, computer crime, crimes against children, as well as
other crimes and other general law enforcement duties.
The Investigations Division also provides support and
actively works with the Two Rivers Drug Enforcement Team.
The Investigations Division currently has multiple crime
scene investigation and evidentiary processing capabilities,
with additional capabilities to be acquired in the future.
To report a crime, or information regarding a crime, the
Investigations Division has the "CrimeTips" reporting line
970-384-3625. Information may be reported anonymously or the
caller may leave contact information if they would like to
be contacted by a Detective.
The Investigations Division also has "CrimeTips" email.
Information regarding criminal incidents may also be emailed
to
crimetips@garfield-county.com.
Remember in the event of an emergency 911 should be
called.
